My wife Deborah and i dined twice whilst in Torquay and loved the sizzling hot plated dishes.Food was authentic and cooked to order. Service was very friendly, proficient and waitress Chrissie was full of all the local info.Taking your own wine makes it a very enjoyable cheap night out. If we were not traveling we would have kept it a secret!
First time at Torquay Thai, went there on a Saturday night and it was almost full! There were only two tables left and we were lucky enough to get one of them!
Customer service wise were absolutely great! There were four staffs and they took care of everybody. Great team work guys!
Waited awhile for the our mains but it was definitely worth it! Its fresh, healthy, tasty and it looks amazing!
Yes you have got me addicted, i will be coming back for more.
I highly recommend this place, also the setting inside is amazing!
i have to say, Torquay Thai is the best Thai restaurant in Torquay. the food was delicious, especially valcano king prawns and seafood paradise. The service was very nice and friendly, and fast. the bamboo bar really gave a great atmosphere. Overall, i am happy with this restaurant and will definitely be back.

when ever we are back in town we tend to always migrate to the coffee and couches of T.U.S their coffee is always comforting and matches their service, the owners are always ready to tell you whats been happing in town and the hot spots to check out its this attitude and coffee that keeps us coming back.
Definitely agree with blacklong. The guy/owner is an absolute jerk. I never had such rude service in my life as a coffee lover. Not sure why this guy believes he's so good, the blend "my Ruby" he roasts is quite ordinary and leaves an unusual aftertaste. The milk texturing was pretty half arsed. And my coffee lid was dusty. The floors would probably appreciate a vacuuming as well as the glassware going through a dishwasher. Pity because this place is in located in such a good part of town. I suggest crossing the road to Gourmet Larder or head towards Rip Curl and goto Sticks and Stones, the people are much friendlier. Double thumbs down to TUS!
Flat whites were very good and service was efficient and friendly. Really impressed with the set up these guys have going. Coffee was smooth and flavoursome and up there with some of the best in Torquay IMO.
ordered a caffe latte, for a place that roasts it's own coffee, would've like to know what blend or single origin options were available. Coffee was good but barista was arrogant, rude and overall made it an ordinary experience. A smile and some friendly service a must for this joint

I have passed this place a million times and have never been in, I have even been sat on a recommendation to go for over year from another local. So with a celebration to have and not wanting to go too far we booked in, which was easy as it was relatively empty.
A quick glance at the menu and it appears a bit toppy, I had been recommended the steak but was determined to go for something a little bit different. The boneless chicken leg was amazing, the chicken skewers were fantastic and the same with the seafood linguine. The gnocchi was overcooked but as that was for a child he wasn't too fussed. They rustled up a spaghetti bol for a child. "We don't have a fryer" was music to my ears.
My only gripes would probably be the lack of accompaniments for those with bigger appetites, (i.e me) that, and the price of the desserts. I simply couldn't justify getting on for 70 bucks for five desserts, I kept telling myself I was being cheap and just pay up, on the other hand, I'd sooner be cheap than stupid.
Service was fast and attentive and the waitress dealt with the three kids effectively so we had a really good night.
In summary: Absolutely fantastic food, expensive, but you get what you pay for. I will go back again. They deserve more business

Majevo's is one of Torquay's more modern cafes, located next to the main Woolworths supermarket just off the main Gilbert St. It's got a wonderful selection of gourmet deli products to eat-in or takeaway, including sandwiches, pies, relishes, biscuits and cakes. The staff - mainly young females - are friendly and the coffee is great, however the service can be painfully slow. The Melbourne crowd that make the trip down to Torquay for their rest and relaxation need their caffeine shots fast and if Majevo's could just increase the speed of delivery, they might just be the cafe of choice in what is becoming a competitive local market.

We had an amazing dinner at Soul Fuel this weekend. We had a truck load of kids with us (well 9 ... it felt like a lot!!) and we found the service, food and amenity all above par. My children devoured the pizzas and had fun playing in the outdoor space, while the adults enjoyed a wine and the most incredible antipasto platter I've seen in a while.
Thanks for the hospitality - we'll be back.
My family and I went here on Saturday night for a celebratory Birthday dinner. There was 18 of us and we all had AMAZING food and wine. The service was quick and friendly. We met the Pizza Chef, Henry... he is authentically Italian. My Dad had the Gnocchi and hasn't stopped talking about it... so we will be back!
Came here on a Friday night with friends, seated immediately and orders taken within 2 minutes. Incredibly friendly service, and food came up less than 10 minutes later. Amazing antipasto (enourmous serve) and fantastic aranchini balls. Definitely coming back!

Right on the water front of Torquay (20 mins from Geelong) sits Front Beach Cafe; a cafe, bar and restaraunt. It has some of the most spectacular views in Victoria. Walking in, you are always greeted with a friendly hello, and seated if you wish to be. They offer to come and take your order if you want too! The coffee is fantastic. The milk is nice and warm, very smooth, and just that right amount of strength. You can see there is care in making the coffee, and that they understand good coffee is vital to their business. It's probably the best coffee I've had in Torquay.
We had dinner here last night and we all felt thoroughly satisfied with our meals. The 9 year old loved the spaghetti and my 6 year old enjoyed a well cooked chicken schnitzel and importantly they were well welcomed and one of the staff had a chat to my son about his soccer top. I had the beautiful seafood assiette as my main and my husband had a perfectly cooked steak. I frequently dine at expensive, fine restaurants and would describe the food here as really, good bistro food. Perfect for families and we will be back next time we stay at Torquay.
I was pretty happy with my big breakie! Especially the hash browns!! Not all cafes do hash browns now, so I was extra excited. (A lot people tell me this is silly as I should just go to Maccas and grab some) But it's not the same as having it with eggs, tomato, mushrooms etc. In addition, Front Beach allowed you to choose your choice of how the eggs were to be cooked!!
