Review by: Clyde Parl Vineyard & Bistro
Clyde Park Vineyard was established in 1979 when the varieties of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were planted on the property.
Further plantings since have increased the vineyard to 35 acres, expanding the original Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and adding Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris. In all we have 7 clones of Pinot Noir, 6 clones of Chardonnay, 2 clones of Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc and a sole clone of Pinot Gris.
The site consists of undulating north easterly slopes. The soil varies from silt/clay to sandy loam with basalt over a limestone base. Plantings on our north easterly slope provide exposure to sunlight, whilst the river flat area offers warmth and wind protection. Viticulturally the site produces premium fruit of low yields providing balanced wines of great purity, complexity and finesse.
We have owned Clyde Park for more than 15 years and have concentrated on developing premium quality cool climate wines, which today are sold across Australia and recently we have begun to export.
We are proud to be a James Halliday 5 star rated vineyard for a number of years, and our wines have won numerous awards.
ABOUT THE BISTRO
Clyde Park are proud to announce our award of Best Casual Dining Restaurant in the Golden Plate Awards 2012
The bistro commenced 7 years ago so that we could provide our cellar door customers a unique experience within our winery with a desire to serve food that has a home cooked feel and dishes that are familiar to us. We are expanding our offer constantly so you can continue to enjoy at home or for gift giving.
There is no better way to explain our Bistro than for you to come visit and enjoy a day of great food and amazing wines.

Much of our produce, vegetables and herbs are grown in our two vegetable gardens at the vineyard. Our chickens give us a great supply of eggs during the year. The bread, cakes and pastries are all made on site. The pizza dough recipe we have been using for the last seven years and has proved very popular with our customers.

Wow, I am genuinely surprised by the negative comments. As a local who frequently dines in and orders take away from here, I have to say it has been consistently good since its opening and I cannot comment on a time when the meals have not been flavoursome, cooked to perfection and served with a smile. We often dine in groups, with everyone walking away feeling satiated and looking forward to the next visit. The service is friendly and accomodating, and we have even had staff drop into the bottle shop to pick up a bottle of red for our home delivery! My only suggestion would be to have some music playing in the restaurant, which is always helpful in providing ambiance. Don't be put off by the comments of haters, see for yourself!
WOW i love this Indian Place, Butter Chicken and Lamb madras is Delicious, and its worth spending money. I seen this place in Food and Wine magazine and find it similar as written in magazine..
Very nice food real Indian authentic cuisine only complaint is about small space definitely go back for regular meals and recommend others. Best Goa fish Curry and Butter chicken. Food is better and cheap compared to others even in Geelong.

Nicest ice cream that I have had in a long time. Servings are generous and flavours are great (especially loved the Peanut Butter one). Have been back twice in the past few days. Only downside is they are cash only... Would be great if they could get a shop right across the road from the beach!
Great ice cream great options shame about the lack of great customer service from the young girls behind the counter !!! Put a smile on your face you work in an icecream shop !!
Forget about the rubbish water ice cream from Lygon St, this is the real deal. Delicious homemade ice cream with innovative flavored and generous scoops. Not be be missed at any time of the year!!!
Beautifully creamy ice cream with the most delightful chocolatey nutty bits strewn throughout, and the cone was divine - a rich white chocolate marble coat over the crisp wafer.

Review by: Panache Cafe & Creperie Restaurant
One of the best crepes I've ever had. We ordered one chicken-n-mushroom and one strawberry. Both took a bit of time to arrive, but the wait was well worth it. Everything was done to perfection, smelled and looked delicious. Coffee was quite reasonable too. Will stop there again next time I'm in town.

This one has the advantage of being right opposite the hospital so a great way to get the taste of antiseptic out of your mouth! It's also on the main road so does steady business. Never had to wait more than a couple of mins at the drive through and the food is always freshly cooked and the chips are hot which is a bonus compared to some fast food places. Drive through are always very generous with dips and extra salt etc.
I love Mcdonalds food as it is cooked lovely and the fries are fantastic too and taste fresh.they do milkshakes and various other things too.Prices reasonable for a fast food outlet :)
